Hey guys, I'm trying to backup my codebreaker v8 disc, it's getting beat-up, so I thought I'd better make a back up. I'm not sure if it's DVD or CD as it doesn't say, but I'm pretty sure it's a CD. It's like 566MB, and when I run DVD Decrypter it says no DVD disc in drive, therefore I'm assuming it's a CD. Anywho, it has protection and Alcohol 120% and Nero 6 won't let me make an iso image, or do anything with it. So my question is this, how would I go about making a backup of this disc? What program, and what file type should I use (.iso,.cdd,.msd), etc.

Thanks in advance. Have you tried cloneCD yet. It can copy secuROM protections, so it might be able to copy around this one, but I'm not sure what kind it is on this disc. Edit: I like to do what is the called the '45 Minute Method,' download ISOBuster (Pro adds UDF file exraction, so just go free), and have it Extract Session 1 (right click it) as a RAW mode image. When it comes to the first error select 'Replace sector all zeroes', check always apply selection, and then click selection. It'll take quite some time to rip this way, but allows a standard image format to accept the copy protections found in most games (including the bad sector dummy file found in this one).

Edit: Burn In whatever program you like as long as you burn in a raw mode (RAW DAO recommended, but RAW TAO should be just as fine).
